Self-Service Course

If you buy a frame from us, it may well be that you need a gruppo as well, or at least a new crankset. And if you're racing cross on our wheels, you may find you're replacing smashed rear derailleurs more frequently than you'd anticipated. We know this because we spend a lot of time fielding emails that begin with, "Hey, can you guys get me a ..." We dig when our customers turn to us when they need something, but half a dozen email back-and-forths aren't the best way to let you order a $75 stem. So we built the Self-Service Course.

The premise behind the Self-Service Course is that most of you already know what you're looking for - you just have to choose where you're going to get it. So we've built a category in our store that contains most of the kit you'll need - gruppos, cranks, shifters, derailleurs, cassettes, chains and other stuff you go through frequently or need to pick up when you get a new bike or wheels. It's not heavy on product attributes or specs (the rest of the internet will already tell you how many grams a Deda Superzero seatpost is, so we don't), and we don't have 90,000 SKUs like Chain Reaction Cycles. We've edited down to the staples of your kit. That's what we do - we edit.
